The star of Netflix's hit cheerleader documentary series has responded to the allegations that he 'solicited sexually explicit photos and sex from a minor.' Sep 16, 2020  AceShowbiz - "Cheer" star Jerry Harris has "categorically denied" the sexual misconduct claims made against him.   It was reported on Monday (14Sep20) that the 21-year-old cheerleader, who shot to fame thanks to his involvement in the Netflix docuseries, was under investigation amid reports he "solicited sexually explicit photos and sex from a minor."       However, a representative for Harris denied the claims in a statement to ABC News, saying, "We categorically dispute the claims made against Jerry Harris, which are alleged to have occurred when he was a teenager. A licensed practical nurse who previously worked at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Georgia has turned whistleblower.
According to CNN, Dawn Wooten filed a complaint to the Department of Homeland Security inspector general on Monday.
Wooten's complaint detailed a high rate of hysterectomies and alleged medical neglect.
She stated that while some of the detained women may have required a hysterectomy, 'everybody's uterus cannot be that bad.'
Wooten says she spoke with women who didn't fully understand why they had the medical procedure.
The complaint also alleges the facility didn't take necessary precautions to avoid the spread of Covid-19, which ultimately motivated Wooten to come forward.

S. Korea's Supreme Court increases maximum penalty for production of child pornography

South Korea's top court has sharply increased the maximum penalty for producing child pornography.
According to the Supreme Court Tuesday, the sentencing commission created its sentencing guidelines for digital sex crimes the previous day.
It proposed a total of eight special weighing factors and five special reduction factors for child sexual exploitation ...under the Children and Youth Sex Protection Law.
The recommended sentences for habitual offenders have been increased to a range of ten years and six months to 29 years, three months in prison.
Sentences for multiple offenses have been increased as well.
Causing suicides and family breakdowns can lead to increased sentences, ...while voluntary efforts like removing content can reduce jail time.
The proposed guidelines are scheduled to be finalized in December ...after receiving opinions, holding public hearings and making public announcements.

European Union leaders are pressing China to open its markets and retreat from its crackdown on Hong Kong.
At a virtual summit with China's Xi Jinping on Monday, European Union leaders said the country is not practicing fair and free trade with European countries... and urged for progress on the investment agreement they are negotiating.
The agreement would force Beijing to open its doors to European nations.
In addition, European leaders criticized Beijing's multiple human rights violations.
Chinese state media reported that Xi rejected any form of interference in domestic affairs, particularly human rights.

S. Korea's FM urges resumption of talks with N. Korea, calls for support from neighbors

South Korea's Foreign Minister, Kang Kyung-wha, speaking at a multilateral security forum, has called for the resumption of talks between Seoul, Pyeongyang and Washington.
This was on Saturday at the ASEAN Regional Forum held virtually and in which North Korea also took part.
The North, however, reportedly focused on its domestic affairs,... like COVID-19 and the damage from recent typhoons.
North Korea this year was represented by a senior diplomat in Indonesia instead of its foreign minister.
The 27 members of the ASEAN Regional Forum agreed on the need for multilateral cooperation in the fight against COVID-19.
