Seoul should reconsider GSOMIA withdrawal: Stilwell

A top U.S. diplomat has urged South Korea to reconsider its decision to end a military intel-sharing deal with Japan.
According to Japanese media outlets,... David Stillwell, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs,... said the GSOMIA agreement,... benefits South Korea, Japan, as well as the U.S.
He added that Seoul and Tokyo should find creative ways to ease bilateral tensions,... but made clear that Washington is not in a position to act as a mediator.
This comes after a Seoul foreign ministry official said Friday... that Korea will not change its decision to pull out of GSOMIA unless Tokyo retracts its trade curbs on Seoul.
