Lee Mak-dal, victim of Japan's wartime sex slavery, dies at age 97

Another South Korean victim of Japan's wartime sexual slavery has died.
According to the The Korean Council for Justice and Remembrance, Lee Mak-dal passed away on Saturday in Busan at the age of 97.
There are now just 16 surviving victims registered with the government.
Lee Mak-dal was forced to serve as so-called 'comfort woman' by the Japanese military in Taiwan at the age of 17.
In 2005, she registered with the government as a victim of wartime sex slavery.
Her funeral is being held privately, in accordance with the wishes of her family.
