Four states set as example for improvement of Syariah Courts services nationwide

Selangor, the Federal Territories, Penang and Terengganu are set as the exemplary states in the Government’s effort to improve the services of the Syariah Court, said Datuk Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) was responding to a question from Batu Karang MP Tan Sri Noh Omar in Dewan Rakyat on Thursday, who asked whether the government intends to set up a committee to restructure the administration and procedures of the Syariah Court to upgrade services, as well as the integrity of the institution.
